Prayer and Fasting
1. Matthew 21:13 – “It is written,” he said to them, “‘My house will be called a house of prayer…”
Pray for the body of Christ, that it will be a house of prayer.
2. Joshua 24:15 – But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.
Pray that the members of CTJ will continue to serve God as individuals and within their families.
3. Luke 6:38 – Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
Pray for the hearts of people in the CTJ community, that they would be cheerful givers.
4. Exodus 15:26 – “He said, “If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.”
Pray that we would carefully listen to what God is telling us and to do what is right in His eyes. Pray that He would heal and protect us from any disease or illness.
5. Luke 11:2 – He said to them, “When you pray, say: “Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come.”
Pray that the Lord would guide us in the way that we pray.
6. Matthew 28:18-19 – Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
Pray that He would empower us to go and make disciples. Pray that we would be put under the authority of Christ and to teach us how to obey everything that He commands us to do.
7. Acts 1:8 – But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Pray that we would openly invite and receive the Holy Spirit. Pray that He would empower us to be witnesses to everyone around us.
