2014 Theme: IMPACT

The CTJ theme was launched on 12 January 2014.

The message delivered by Senior Pastor, Ding Cantre was entitled:

Based on (1 Timothy 6:17-19) "Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life."

It is our season to make an impact to the community and to the Kingdom of God.

Pastor Ding preached on four different levels we can do so that the Church can leave an impact:

1. Enjoyment

1 Timothy 6:17 "...to trust in God who gives us richly all things to enjoy".

He has given us all things to enjoy. Without enjoying what you do, it becomes a punishment; it's not supposed to be that attitude. The blessings God has given us should be enjoyed.

Ask yourself, are you enjoying your life?

We should enjoy our Church life because:

•God has given us new people to love and enjoy. We enjoy them because they are now part of the household of God and citizens of the Kingdom of God. We belong together. (Ephesians 2:19) "Now therefore, you are no longer stranger and foreigners, but fellow citizens."

•God has given a new song. (Romans 12:1)

•God has given us genuine relationship. It is not to take advantage of one another, but we are there to cry out with those who in grief and rejoice with those who are rejoicing.

•God has given us a purpose. The tribulations, errors and mistakes in your life are there so that you can help others who endure the same pain.

We enjoy our lives because God has given us many things to enjoy.

Our enjoyment should "attract others".

2. Servanthood

1 Timothy 6:18 "Let them do good, that they be rich in good works..."

Serving is a privilege.

•It is pleasing to God.

•(Psalms 100:2) "serve the Lord with gladness."

•It is an experience of greatness.

•"If you want to be the greatest, you must be the servant of all."

3. Giving

1 Timothy 6:18 "...ready to give".

•We are created to be generous because that is God's nature.

One of His qualities and characteristics is "generosity" and when He breathed the breath of life on us, that is something He created us to be.

•We must be generous with our tithes, our mission giving (2 Corinth 6), and our offering.

•We must be faithful with our tithes because it is used for the operation of the Church.

Your generosity will change the life of others.

4. Sharing the load

1 Timothy 6:18 "willing to share"

•It is about caring for the people. We should take responsibility for the welfare and betterment of one another.

•We are to be the assets of the Church and not the liability.

•We should be the solution and not the problem.

•When we are willing to share, (Ephesians 4:12) says "let's do it for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ."

We are positioned now by God. Let us put all of these four ingredients together to leave an imprint, impression, and a legacy.

At the conclusion of the message, Pastor Ding offered each member to write each of our names on the palm hand outs provided and to pin it against the Church wall as a symbol of our commitment to make an impact this year.

"I alone can not change the world. But I can cast a stone across the water to create many ripples." -Mother Theresa
